"...Like a Drug"

I had it about 2 months before I realized what it would do to me. It was time. Time to test the waters -  or in my case, jump all the way in. At first it was just a little, then a lot. Before I knew it, it was like I had tried on 100 wedding dresses and completely forgot what I liked any more. I wanted it all. "Let's try this... and this one... and this one... and this one." More, more, more, more, more. I had become a recluse in my room. Normal human interaction was almost a challenge because after all, I had been having one way conversations with my 6 month old daughter. This was crazy. It was addicting. It was all I wanted to do. My Cricut Explore Air 2 had captured me and I was in love. This last weekend I decided to "jump all the way in" with my Cricut Explore Air 2. The sky is certainly the limit with this machine. There are so many cuts and ideas I was going nuts trying to figure out what I wanted anymore. I spent all of Saturday locked away at my...

Here's to Starbucks Snobs

"I don't need it," she says. So she continues driving in the lane to go home. Moments later her blinker is on.   She is now in the lane to make a right turn instead of the   lane she should really be in headed for home.   "I don't need it! I don't need it!" And once again she is back in the lane to go home, where   she of course should stay. Seconds from her   house she is weak and screaming. "I want it!" So she makes a U-turn feeling defeated yet exhilarated. A minute passes. "Hi, can I get a venti iced carmel macchiato upside down   with only 3 pumps of vanilla." "That will be [a   thousand dollars] and 25 cents, we'll see   you at the window."   My mom, sister and I are now at the point that our drinks   are often being made before we...

Confession of a Starbucks and Corvette Lover

My sister Brooke had been craving Starbucks so this morning we finally went. As we pull up to the drive thru there is a beautiful, shiny, white as snow Corvette. We were practically drooling over it the entire time. Acknowledging the curves, the lines and discussing whether we liked the old circular lights or the newer rectangular lights in the back. Personally, the newer Corvettes are incredibly sexy. The older ones are nice, very attractive, but these new ones really just do it for me. My sister on the other hand prefers the older lights, just as the one in front of us has. "I'm pretty sure it's a stingray," she says, always sounding so intelligent and knowing way more about the details than I do. "I'm physically attracted to this car," I joked around. Brooke even noticed the nice sound it made whereas my 2000 Subaru Outback was a pipsqueak in comparison. As we reach the window the cashier says, "The lady in front of you paid for your guy'...
